Closing the Teach For America Blogging Gap
May 29 2013

2 days, 14 hours, 10 class periods… no matter how you look at it, this is the end.

Usually I’m a very reflective person. In fact, I distinctly remember writing my “wow, college is over” post roughly one year ago.

Which is why it’s so weird that I’m so stuck in the present right now.

We’re so close to the end and I know that that fact is going to hit me like a crash dummy careening into a wall at some point in the very near future, but right now in this moment, the only thing on my mind is “did I make enough copies for 4th hour or do I have to get more during lunch?”

And so here we are, with a day and a half left in the toughest year of my life and I can’t even think about it yet because I’m not sure I even realize it.

On Monday, my school year will be officially finished and all records will be in the books. On Tuesday, the new TFA Corps Memebers arrive in Oklahoma and I’ll be working with them as a Transition Team Leader. Circle of life, indeed.
